17TH ANNUAL JAMES T. COOK MEMORIAL GOLF CLASSIC OCTOBER 7TH
Golf for a Great Cause
Marianna, FL, September 21, 2011. The Jackson Hospital Foundation announces the date of October 7th for its 17th Annual James T. Cook Memorial Golf Classic at Indian Springs Golf Course, Marianna. The $17,000 in proceeds from last year’s event went towards the purchase of Heart Monitors for the Progressive and Special Care Units of the Hospital.
Jill Miller, Executive Director of Jackson Hospital Foundation says, “This annual event is enjoyed by many golfers and provides a fun way to honor a great physician.” Mrs. Miller indicates this year’s proceeds will go towards the renovation of the Labor & Delivery Suites on the 4th Floor of the Hospital.
There are a few places left for sponsors and those who wish to golf. Hole sponsorship is $250 for 2 players. The tournament is a 4-player scramble which starts at 12:30pm. Team registration begins at 11:00am. There are prizes and accolades for the top three teams. To help ensure your team wins, mulligans can be purchased for $5 each, maximum of 2. The Golf Classic provides a half-day of play and concludes with a delicious smoked steak dinner prepared by The Cattleman’s Association.
The Jackson Hospital Foundation is a separate corporation from Jackson Hospital with a 501(c)3 status. The Foundation is a non-profit organization established to pursue important community healthcare needs advanced by the care delivered through Jackson Hospital, promoting wellness in the community by funding health education, health promotion, and disease prevention.
