Tim O’Neal is Jackson Hospital’s April Employee of the Month
Connecting with patients beyond the telecommunications system

May 5, 2017 Marianna, FL - The Employee Leadership Council of Jackson Hospital has selected Tim O’Neal as Employee of the Month for April.   Tim is a three-year employee of the Hospital’s Information Technology department.

When a phone rings at Jackson Hospital, its outpatient facilities, and hospital-owned physician practices, it’s because Mr. O’Neal installed, programmed, and maintained it.  Tim’s expertise in Telecommunications ensures all callers – inbound and outbound – get a phone line and a connection.

Tim received the Employee of the Month designation due to his caring response to a family in need.  The family hailed from Pensacola but were involved in a car accident which left them without a vehicle.  Tim volunteered to drive the family home to Pensacola.

When recognized as the Employee of the Month, Tim said, “I live by the Golden Rule and treat people as I wished to be treated.”

Jackson Hospital’s customer service ideals are outlined in its program called “Give ‘em the Pickle” which rolled out in 2012.  The hospital’s customized program with video titled “What’s your Pickle?” with Bob Farrell, produced by Media Partners™, is implemented by Chief Nursing Officer Robbin Catt Pumphrey.   “Because of our employee-focused customer service efforts, Jackson Hospital is ranked nationally in the top 25% in customer service according to HealthStream Research,” says Pumphrey.

Patients, visitors, and colleagues submit nominations of staff from whom they received superior customer service.  Each month a “Pickle” luncheon is held to recognize the top nominees.

Jackson Hospital proudly recognizes Tim O’Neal, and thanks him along with every employee, volunteer, and Medical Staff member for providing high-quality, leading-edge healthcare service.  Each day Jackson Hospital moves closer to reaching its vision of “being the best community healthcare system in the nation.”

With its top-ranked customer service, high quality and safe patient care, the hospital is forward-thinking in expanding needed services with its $17M OR expansion, now open Chipola Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine Center and Chipola Quick Care.  The hospital, located at 4250 Hospital Drive, Marianna, FL, has 33 physicians on its active Medial Staff.  For information on hospital services, visit www.jacksonhosp.com.  For physician referral, please call Rachel Toliver at (850) 718-2629.
